Think of it as that talent that grants harpoon 50% slow instead.
#DREDGE PALADINS PRO#
Skilled Dredge players are also pro whalers, and will hit their harpoons no matter what.ĭespite his damage, he's slow, predictable, and very easy to find. Skilled Dredge: same as a good Dredge, but has mastered the art of harpoon>left click>reload, which instantly blows up anything with 2400 HP, and up to 2600 if you hit with all of it as contact, rather than splash. Uses his harpoon strategically, making it difficult to duel him if he has one prep'd and ready.

Uses broadside to lend firesupport and 'no access permitted' status to certain parts of the map. Meme Dredge: hold reload, mash broadside. You can talent it for no cooldown, but this removes the forever slow, or talent it to become a very powerful land mine. By default (scuttle selected), it slows you forever for 2 seconds, letting even potatoes hit with their left clicks, which typically means a very quick, guaranteed, death for Dredge's victim, but the railgun has a long draw time, and a very long cooldown by default. His secondary's a railgun shot with incredible range. A good Dredge will use broadside for firesupport on contested areas of the map, and nail you with his left click, which is his true power. Unlike 95% of all other abilities in the game, there's no way to reduce the cooldown on tellyporta. Like all his dakka, when he goes into a teleport, he produces an incredibly visible tracer, which tells you exactly where he went. If he's a skilled player, he'll be using teleports, but these can be trapped, camped, and generally spotted easily.

If your response to BROAWDSAYD!!! is to deploy a shield and literally just stand in it, well, maybe try not doing that? He takes forever to reload, and the reload projectile is a meme, same with broadside spam. You can literally walk right through his minefields and murder him without consequence. Broadside doesn't do anything until two seconds after it hits the ground. You know precisely how many shots he has left in his tiny magazine at all times. Only if it's a Scuttle DredgeĪll his stuff has very visible tracers. if dredge gets away but your team gets the point, just take the small victory and start positioning to counter him as soon as he pops up again. just push him away to give your team a little break from his area denial and help them wipe out enemy healer. zig-zag vs grenades, circle vs trident, if he switches it up a lot, then youve been fighting him too long and should retreat for a better opportunity. i NEVER EVEER EVER take blast shield unless there are 3 or 4 good AOE enemies, dredge is weak against nimble and life rip because his attack is slow, fused and arches in trajectory, you can outmaneuver the majority of the damage and recover a bit in between. at least if you can push him off for a moment, your teammates can gain an advantage, especially if the enemy team doesnt see you attacking him and assumes he will keep firing grenades. i just stack my soul collector marks, pop invisible and get into a nice spot to attack from. also, if you can gifgure out where he like to put his teleport exit, you can pretty much demolish him since they usually assume nobody will know. dredge players usually hyperfocus on a single area, so he is susceptible to le sneakiness.
